Rebuilding Together and Wells Fargo Foundation to Provide Critical Home Repairs in Dozens of Communities Across the Country
WASHINGTON, DC, Oct. 2, 2025 – The Wells Fargo Foundation is donating approximately $1.1 million in grants to Rebuilding Together, a leading national nonprofit dedicated to keeping our neighbors safe in their homes through essential repairs and revitalizing communities. Rebuilding Together, through the Wells Fargo Builds program, is providing critical repairs and accessibility modifications to approximately 70 homes in dozens of communities across the United States.
As part of this collaboration, Wells Fargo employees are volunteering with local Rebuilding Together affiliates to assist with the repairs and modifications, which help prevent displacement, stabilize families, and ensure neighborhoods remain vibrant, welcoming places where people of all backgrounds can thrive.
When it comes to home repairs, a recent study found lower-income homeowners face a greater financial burden, paying a larger percentage of household income on repairs, and spending less on needed improvements, than homeowners with higher incomes.
“Wells Fargo is committed to improving housing access and affordability and to supporting local community organizations focused on housing solutions,” said Darlene Goins, president of the Wells Fargo Foundation. “By providing no-cost home repairs, Rebuilding Together is helping people stay in their homes longer and playing an important role in transforming neighborhoods.”
“We’re grateful for our long-standing relationship with Wells Fargo and its commitment to supporting Rebuilding Together’s mission of repairing homes, revitalizing communities, and rebuilding lives,” said Maureen Carlson, president and CEO of Rebuilding Together. “Together, we’re making homes safer and strengthening communities for everyone, regardless of means or circumstance.”
Since 2015, Wells Fargo has donated more than $17 million to Rebuilding Together and its affiliates to support rebuilding and revitalization efforts across the country, including essential home repairs, that help veterans, older adults, people with disabilities, families, victims of disaster, and other neighbors in need remain in their homes and communities.
