Rebuilding Together Announces Bob Keyes as Vice President of Finance and Operations

Washington, D.C., April 15, 2014 - Rebuilding Together, a national nonprofit with a vision of a safe and healthy home for every person, announced today that, following an extensive nationwide search, Bob Keyes has joined the team as its new Vice President of Finance and Operations. In this role, Keyes will oversee the finance, operations, information technology and human resource programs at Rebuilding Together.

Keyes brings 13 years of senior management leadership in the nonprofit and association fields combined with 25 years of experience in the global communications industry. Since 2001, he has held several nonprofit leadership positions, applying his business management skills to the nonprofit sector to strengthen organizations in these areas, most recently as Director of Operations at the National League of Cities. He also served as Vice President of Finance and Operations at the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and as Chief Operating Officer at Catholic Charities USA. He has helped lead organizational change through strategic planning and governance efforts in each of these organizations.

Prior to 2001, Keyes spent much of his career with the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), primarily in the NBC news division in New York. He served on NBC News’s first strategic planning team and managed key partner relationships. He left NBC and joined the Associated Press in Washington, D.C. as their first television executive. In that role, he was instrumental in launching APTV and negotiated a major contract with SONY. Based on the success of this venture, Reuters recruited Bob to run its television sales and marketing for the Americas. Bob negotiated Reuters’ first contract with FOX News Channel and managed relationships with NBC, CNN, ABC and CBS.

Keyes volunteers in his spare time to help fight hunger and homelessness. He holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Business Administration from Villanova University.
