Rebuilding Together Partners with Ferguson to Expand Impact and Deliver Critical Home Repairs Where They’re Needed Most
WASHINGTON, DC, Jan. 12, 2026 – Rebuilding Together, the leading national nonprofit organization dedicated to repairing homes and revitalizing communities, is expanding its nationwide reach through its long-standing corporate partnership with Ferguson. Together, Rebuilding Together and Ferguson have supported home repair projects in six markets over the past year, and are now extending their reach in Virginia through Rebuilding Together of Hampton Roads.
With Natasha Stewart recently appointed as executive director, Rebuilding Together of Hampton Roads is well-positioned to deepen its impact in a region where safe, healthy housing is needed most.
More than 510,000 households in the Hampton Roads region spend more than 30% of their income on housing, and half of the homes were built before 1980. Aging infrastructure, coastal flooding, and accessibility needs for veterans and older adults leave many families living in unsafe conditions.
To address these challenges, the affiliate has already begun providing repairs to homeowners in need. Take Amber for example, a single mom of three, whose heating and cooling system failed just before winter. With one child battling severe asthma and another living with autism, the broken system was more than an inconvenience; it was a health crisis. Volunteers and contractors rallied to restore the HVAC system, replace damaged doors, patch a hole in the roof, and weatherize windows. Today, her family is safe, warm, and healthy.

Ferguson, headquartered in the Hampton Roads area, helped make this vision possible by providing seed funding for the affiliate’s launch and first two repair projects. The company has partnered nationally with Rebuilding Together since 2021 to complete 31 projects nationwide and continues to champion its mission.

The addition of the Hampton Roads affiliate strengthens the organization’s growing presence in Virginia, where the Richmond affiliate has long provided repair services. In its first year, the Hampton Roads affiliate completed three home repair projects with the help of 25 volunteers – and this is just the beginning. As a movement of neighbors helping neighbors, Rebuilding Together and its partners are building a future of safe homes and communities for everyone.
